Problem
Named by Condé Nast Travel Magazine as one of the Top 10 International Business hotels, the Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver at Canada Place is renowned for exceptional service and amenities, drawing international politicians, luminaries and celebrities. The Pan Pacific World Trade Centre, a companion centre in the Hotel needed a new communication system to maintain their top tier service and reputation. The entire project had to be completed inside business hours, including installation of the main system, over 100 phones, with programming, wiring and a backup UPS system. In addition the main Hotel, The Pan Pacific Hotel, also needed a new system. No small task with their busy clientele and round the clock requirements.
Solution
As Meteor is a national supplier of NEC premier products, they called on Meteor to handle the jobs. Meteor with a longstanding and sold relationship with NEC Canada, and a history of being a Number 1 position partner in Canada, massive discounts were achieved to meet the budgetary requirements of the projects. The choice for the Trade Centre was the award winning NEC SV9100 voice system with unified messaging and multiyear software assurance support services. The Pan Pacific Hotel contracted Meteor to provide a new NEC SV9300 voice system with almost 1000 phones to be installed for the main hotel. Meteor’s project management executed the job to perfection, and came in on budget, on schedule, and as projected.
